Jeslyn's new shoes !

Kids grow up so fast nowadays. This Chinese New Year, I bought her 2 pairs of new shoes and now she tells me they are too small already. Not believing her, I got her to wear it for me to see and really, her feet has grown bigger in just a space of nine months.

And so I bought her this pair of shoes which seems to be the "in" fashion for teenagers nowadays. Jeslyn also asks me to buy her a pair of socks to match it. Well, simple Mum is scratching her head, trying to choose the right colour to match it !

David's Diner

I went to David's Diner today to try out their lunch promo. It consist of only the main course for RM10.90 ( plus 10% service charge). A bit expensive but the food is good. I ordered their Fish & Chips, very big portion and a generous helping of Tartar sauce too. It is really worth trying but if they add in something extra i.e  a soup, it'll be more worth it. Even a cup of plain water cost an extra 30 cts. Anyone who like to give it a try, REMEMBER go around 12 pm becoz when more customers come, it will take you more than a hour to finish the lunch. Need I remind the parking there is RM0.60 per hour. So if you are even a few minutes late, you are already charged an extra RM0.60.

The first thing I'm attracted to is the glass of beer with the tap "hanging" in the air.. and the environment is cosy and warm

Sushi King RM2 Bonanza is here Again !

YES! It's here again. Twice a year, I would take Jeslyn to Sushi King for their RM2 Bonanza treat. Many friends told me  they couldn't stand the long queue, why issit I still wanna go? Well, I had my own way. This is what I usually do :- If  I'm going to the Sushi King at Parkson Ipoh, I'll skip breakfast in the morning and be there at 11:30 am (  the queue is shorter at this time ). If I should need to go at night, I'll go to Jusco's Sushi King at about 8:30 p.m. JJ's Sushi King has a different style for queueing - They prefer to take down customer's names and call them in turns. So, after registering myself and taking note of how many more customers before me, I'll take Jeslyn for a walk around JJ and come back around 20 - 30 minutes.

Well, the above "tricks" usually works for me. Today, Jeslyn and me had a very satisfying meal at Sushi King - we had our share of scallops, baby octopus, fish roe and salmon.

This are two of our favourites - we had 2 helpings of scallops and 3 of the baby octopus.

Jeslyn enjoying her sushi - she either eats the rice first then the topping or vice-versa but seldom together. Funny girl !

Alakaboom ! The plates getting higher.. ha! ha!. We ended up finishing 11 plates and the bill ? Less than RM30.00. Burppp..... Yummy !!!!

Have u ever been betrayed before ?

Last week, a friend told me her colleague (whom she regards as good friend) betrayed her by using her to finish her work while she goes out to do some things not related to work. Maybe if that colleague had gone for some shopping or even a haircut, my friend won't feel so betrayed. The thing my friend suspected her of doing is part-time work. She was working her ass out thinking that she had helped a friend in need and instead, was used to generate extra income to line her colleague's own pocket. I know this friend of mine is a person who doesn't like others to lie to her, which is what I think angers her most.

I understand her feelings as in a way, I was once also "betrayed" by a friend who had sort of "grabbed" my client right in front of me for a mere few dollars. Even though the client was inactive for a year, he/she is still a client I served in other ways everyday. At first, I was really angry with my friend. This friend even went to the extent of finding reasons to justify her actions but had never once said anything to me. If this friend had talked to me regarding it, I would had just let it go. After all, what's a few dollars compared to friendship? After  a few months, I find that being angry with someone also means making life hard for myself. So I forgived her in my heart and until now, we still talked and gossiped as if nothing happened BUT I didn't forget this lesson. I know I will always be careful when it comes to things monetary.

In my friend's case, maybe if her colleague had been truthful to her, things would have ended differently.
I hope all friends who had once been betrayed before, can learn to forgive and learn the lesson that comes with it. It's always harder on ourselves to be angry with someone whom you faced 8 hours a day for five days a week. Be happy and joy will always nurture in our hearts.

The Clown, Airplane, Stars and Paper Art

On the eve of Mid-Autumn Festival, Jason's kindergarten had a celebration for them. There were light snacks and drinks for everyone. All the kids get to play with their lanterns and candle under the protection of the big canopy provided although it was drizzling outside.  But, most of all, the kids enjoy the clown more than anything else.

After that, I took them to a science exhibition at the Stadium Indera Mulia, Ipoh. The stalls were mostly promotion stuff by companies i.e. bankers, kitchen stuff and so forth. To me, the two main attractions were the "live" stargazing booth and the ( i dont really know wat it's called ) stimulation airplane.

Here's Jason enjoying the "airplane"

We waited for almost an hour queueing up for the stargazing show. Jeslyn really enjoyed the "live" show as it was all done inside a very enclosed area with no lights able to come in from the outside. It was like we were actually looking through a big microscope when we are actually looking at some projections. We were also told that this year is the international year for astronomy. Unfortunately, I was unable to capture any pictures during the "live" stargazing. But there was another stall selling craft puncher art that attracted my attention during the waiting time. They are promoting punchers that are able to create artistic stuffs from coloured paper, be it ......

Another "eventful" family outing  for us......

Jeslyn & Jason in one of their rare moments

This is one of those very seldom moments where Jeslyn and Jason are playing together without any quarreling. Sometimes, I just don't understand why they want to do that.   I sure hope when they grow older, they can be closer like best friends.

Jason in Focus

Here's Jason concentrating on doing his homework at home. He is one active kid who usually can't sit still during his homework. He's getting slightly better ever since I put him under full day care. It's simple joy watching him focusing on doing his homework.

Turkey

I saw this pair of turkey at a friend's house in the kampung during  Hari Raya. I don't know whether they bite or not but i sure don't want to get chased by one. Mention turkey makes me think of Christmas. I have never taste turkey meat before. Hmmmm, I wonder if I'll get any chance this year ....

Sunset In Lumut, Perak

A beautiful sunset picture I took during my car treasure hunt at Lumut. Maybe next time I can try taking a picture of sunrise (if can wake that early, !... Lol)

And talking about lovely pictures, i found this website of beautifully taken pictures. It helps for those who needs to look up certain kind of pictures like mothers ( like me la! ) who ocassionally has to help their child in their school projects or some who like to use it as their wallpaper.
