Different Kind of Fusion

Fusion food are the "in" thing nowadays. Whether western with eastern or southern and northern or whatever, we are sure to give it a try. If good, come back again of course. If  the taste so-so, will come if there's no other place to go. Worse than that, well... wait for another to take over the place. That's reality.

A new place for lunch caught my eye the other day and being an "adventurer" for new food, in I go with 3 of my colleagues. The deco - typical  old-style kopitiam with the marble tables and chair. Mainly because the previous owner was also a kopitam restauranteer. This place is called Kafe De Sister and it's opposite Koh Samui, Ipoh.

We were the only group there during the 12pm lunch break. According to my friend, there are more people during  the 1pm lunch break. During lunch, the menu has more than 10 kinds of set to order from. Below is Set D (RM7.90) consisting of a plate of XO fried rice, soup ( that day's soup is something called Toe Fook, a chinese herb ) and also a dessert.

My set G (RM5.50) is a plate of fried spaghetti with a few pieces of pork chop, a glass of iced lemon tea and a small cup of konyaku jelly.

The other 2 friends shared Set K ( RM8.00) - Cheese Baked Rice with Chicken Chop and a glass of herbal drink AND Set N (RM7.00) - a plate of Japanese Style Fried Udon with Black Pepper Chicken and a glass of herbal drink too.

Overall, the taste and price are good enough for me to come back for another try at all the other sets on the menu. Right now, I am even planning to introduce it to my schoolmates at our next lunch gathering.
